Godwin Introduces New High Head Dri-Prime® Pump

BRIDGEPORT, NJ – Godwin Pumps recently announced the latest addition to its Dri-Prime pump range, the HL160M, a single stage pumpset capable of heads to 600 feet (183 meters). With maximum flows to 2,000 gallons per minute (126 l/sec) and solids handling to 1-3/8 inches (35mm) in diameter, this 8- x 6-inch (200mm x 150mm) unit pumps sewage and most solids laden liquids.

Applications for the pump include temporary municipal lift station bypass pumping on high head force mains, pigging pipelines, high pressure potable water boosting/pumping, tunnel shaft dewatering, hydro testing, temporary fire systems, and mine and quarry dewatering.

Like all Godwin Dri-Prime pumps, the HL160M model automatically primes from dry to 28 feet (8.5 meters) of suction lift. The pump also features a high-pressure oil bath double mechanical seal designed with solid silicon carbide faces to allow it to run dry without damage during intermittent flow conditions. In addition, the HL160M Dri-Prime is designed to be close coupled to the engine flywheel, which enhances its compactness and ease of alignment in the field.

The pumps are available in cast iron with hardened wear plates or stainless steel and assembled with a diesel engine or an electric drive. Mounted on a skid, the HL160M model incorporates an integral overnight running fuel tank and lifting frame.
