FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

North American Market Leader in Portable "Construction" Pumps Expands Submersible Line to Include 50 Hz Models; UK and Europe Targeted.

BRIDGEPORT, NJ USA – Godwin Pumps, manufacturer and distributor of portable rental pumps, today unveiled the expansion of its line of Sub-Prime® electric submersible pumps to include 50 Hz dewatering, trash, sludge and slimline models for worldwide distribution in construction, mining and industry.

The Sub-Prime line was first introduced by Godwin in 2001 exclusively in the North American market with 60 Hz models and achieved 250% growth in the first three years.

"Our North American customers wanted a Godwin brand of electric submersibles that offered the same superior quality they had come to expect from our Godwin Dri-Prime® pump," said Godwin Pumps President John Michael Paz. "Add the fact that we provide immediate availability and complete parts inventory, the new line was an immediate success. It was natural for us to expand the line to include 50 Hz models for worldwide distribution."

The company displayed the new pumps today at the Hillhead Quarry Show in Buxton, England and has plans to introduce the line at a press conference at The Rentex Show in Holland in September to capture the attention of the European rental market.

The new Sub-Prime units, with a slim-line design for fitting into confined spaces, are intended for large dewatering applications requiring high head, high volume, and super volume with single-phase motors to 3 horsepower (2.2 kW) and three-phase motors to 83 horsepower (62 kW).

The pumps feature a top discharge design, flow rates to 5,000 gallons per minute (316 litres per second), discharge heads to 375 feet (114 metres), and solids handling up to 3.2 inches (80mm) in diameter.

In addition, Sub-Prime electric submersible pumps feature a chromium-alloy white cast iron impeller and heavy-duty rubber or polyurethane coated adjustable wearing parts for longer life.

Other features include tandem mechanical seals for dry running and extra protection against leakage, dual phase on selected models for electrical supply flexibility, and dual voltage junction chamber for convenient changeover in the field.

Godwin Pumps, the world's largest manufacturer of portable rental pumps, has manufacturing facilities in the USA and the UK, rental offices in the USA, over 100 distributor locations worldwide and serves customers in the construction, industrial, mines/quarries, municipal/government, and environmental markets.
